Prof. Yiming Bie,School of Transportation, Jilin University, China

The research interests of Prof. Bie are transit system planning and operation, and adaptive traffic control. He is in charge of more than 20 academic projects, includes 5 projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 1 project sponsored by Huawei Tech Co., Ltd. He has published more than 100 academic papers and among these papers, there are two ESI highly cited papers and 1 ESI hot paper. He has more than 20 Chines patents. Prof. Bie was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Intelligent Transportation Association, and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Heilongjiang Province Universities. His research results were adopted by the Hicon traffic control system, which has been implemented in more than 50 cities. The proposed smart scheduling methods for electric buses were implemented in Harbin city, Shenyang city, etc. Prof. Bie is also the young editorial members of “Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering”, and “Journal of Jilin University (Engineering Edition)”. He won the first prize of the 2nd Smart Teaching Innovation Competition of Jilin Province Undergraduate Colleges.
